Little Fika Café was founded in 2018 by Fiona Douglas-Mullett and Katie Tyreman. Our first café is based in Whaley Bridge on the edge of the Peak District.
Fika is the Swedish word for taking time out to enjoy a coffee and a small bite to eat with friends.
We are a family friendly café offering a locally sourced menu for adults and children alike. We believe in shop local. eat local, which is why our coffee comes from Peak Beans, based in Furness Vale, our meat is locally farmed and our bread is from Jo Jangles Bread based in Kettleshulme. We believe in showcasing what the area has to offer and cook all our food fresh. We also offer delicious selection of cakes, scones and pastries on a daily basis.
Our café features a buggy park and a small play kitchen for our younger guests to enjoy. We have also been awarded a breastfeeding friendly certificate by High Peak Borough Council.
We have recently joined the the Refill.org campaign and are featured on the Refill App as a place you can stop and refill your water bottle. We also welcome the use of reusable cups, bowls and lunchboxes for takeaways from Little Fika. If you do forget your cup, however, our takeaway coffee cups are 100% compostable, so can be thrown in the food waste or compost bin at home.
